Suspicious Incident

Staffordshire Police have received a report of salesmen canvassing Arran Close, Chadsmoor, and other streets in the area, signing residents up for an EDF government grant.

Salesmen had a lanyard around neck, but have not been upfront in showing ID badge upon request and attempting to sign residents up to grants they are not agreeing to.

We understand some elderly residents have allowed these people into their property, and providing debit card details. Whilst there are legitimate grants available, please check in on family and friends, and neighbours, if they are vulnerable and ensure they are not allowing access or providing personal details.
